Hunt Country Components has a test lab capable of performing many ANSI/BIFMA X5.1-2011 and ANSI/BIFMA General – Purpose Large Occupant Office Chairs -Tests. Test equipment can also be modified to perform custom tests related to a specific chair or chair component. Our test lab is used in the approval process of new components being considered for our line. In addition we often test chairs that will be built in our OEM factory. The lab is also used for some incoming inspections of components. We make our lab available to customers who are developing new products or wish to verify the integrity of their current seating offerings.

Backrest Strength Proof Load

300 lbs. applied for 60 seconds 

Base Test

2,500 lbs. applied for 60 seconds. The load is removed then reapplied for an additional 60 seconds

Drop Test Functional Load

225 lbs. dropped from 6 inches

Drop Test Proof Load

300 lbs. dropped from 6 inches

Seating Durability Front Corner Load-Ease Test
